Volunteer at RM

RM is the longest running Artist Run Space in Aotearoa and we are always on the lookout for volunteers to mind the gallery for Thursdays or Fridays from 1 – 5pm  or Saturdays 12-4pm either weekly or fortnightly.

As a volunteer you’ll join a supportive team of minders and the collective in one of the country’s most respected contemporary art spaces.  You’ll have ample time to engage with the work of emerging and established artists as well as the archive if you choose.  RM also offers a quiet, sunlit space and wifi to study or work and no experience is necessary.

If interested please email your details to RM at info@rm.org.nz

RM supports emerging artists along side more senior practitioners through an annual programme of exhibitions, events, publications and screenings. In addition RM supports the Moving Image Archive. RM is funded through Creative New Zealand, and augments this funding with fundraisers. You can donate here with Paypal:

If you would like to donate by bank transfer, please email info@rm.org.nz for our bank details.

RM would like to thank Creative New Zealand for their ongoing support.

A safe space is a space where the LGBTQI+ community can freely express themselves without fear. It is a space that does not tolerate violence, bullying, or hate speech towards the LGBTQI+ community.

A safe space does not guarantee 100% safety, rather, it’s a space that has your back if an incident (violence, bullying, or hate speech) were to occur.
